Kuwait Towers أبراج الكويت

As Torres do Koweit são três. Foram inauguradas em 1979 e, desde então, são a imagem mais conhecida da cidade do Koweit.

A mais alta das torres, de 187 metros, tem duas esferas. A média tem uma esfera - um reservatório de água - e a torre mais pequena, sem nenhuma esfera, controla a iluminação das duas torres mais altas e da área circundante.

The highest of the towers of 187 meters, has two spheres. The average tower has a ball - an artistic reservoir of water - and the smaller tower, with no ball, controls the lighting of the two tallest towers.



Na torre mais alta há restaurantes, snack, cafetaria, loja de recordações e sala de reuniões para VIPs.

Na esfera panorâmica, a mais alta, há telescópios e um andar giratório, com vista sobre a cidade e o Golfo Pérsico, que a cada meia hora dá uma volta completa.

A Torre da Kuwait Telecommunications começou a ser construída em 1990, antes da invasão iraquiana. Terminada em 1993, depois da expulsão dos iraquianos, passou a chamar-se Torre da Libertação. Tem 372 metros. É a mais alta da cidade.
